I am currently working out how to produce some of my work as books, both eBooks and printed books. But they do not include sound. So, I needed a quick and easy way for parents to check the sound of any letter.
It is much more helpful if children learn the most common sound of each letter before learning its name. (Or as soon as possible if they already know the names.) Sometimes, parents might automatically read the name of a letter instead of its sound, sometimes they may not be aware of how to say the sound.
In this video, the sound of each letter is given, followed by the memory aid – a picture and rhyme. The quality is best if you don’t try to play it full screen.
Find the letter that you are looking for by scrolling through the video, or pressing the left arrow key to progress in 10-second jumps.
It is also available on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/SuccessWithReading – 20 March 2023) and YouTube (https://youtu.be/vtpA6s1peTY).
I am now in my mid-70s and I want to find ways that my work will still be available when I am no longer able to play an active role in it. Currently I am exploring how to make Kindle books and link them to videos.
