Silent e dominoes – useful free resource
I have just found three sets of silent e dominoes, two with CVC or CCVC words and corresponding CVCe and CCVCe words to match them with (e.g. sit/site, plan/plane, shad/shade), the other one a set that just has some common words with silent “e”. All of the words are in common use, except for perhaps shad, which is a type of fish that I had not heard of before.
They were posted on Twitter by Fran Levin Bowman @franbowman1 on Jun 30, 2015. I have retweeted them today (12 August, 2015) at https://twitter.com/JeanneWherrett. These silent e dominoes are easy-to-print, ready-to-go resources that give another way of practising adding a silent “e” to consolidate the learning in http://successwithreading.com/videos-children/ Level 5-1, 2 and 3.
As always, you could adapt these ideas to make more sets of silent e dominoes.
